M 1938 Mackinaw, US Army Coat. Made in cotton duck, has wool blanket lining, also has blanket lining on the upper collar. Has all original buttons, no broken or cracked buttons. also has two metal buttons (wreath pattern) to hold collar strap in place. Coat belt has wool lining with metal buckle. T is a 36 stamped in ink on the inside upper right back of the coat, QM label dated 2/2/38 Hillsdale MFG. Co. Size 36 under right pocket. Nice crisp label. Also a loop for hanging the coat up. The back of the collar has 4-5 small nip places on the surface of the collar, hard to see. The coat is a green (Field Jacket) color. The front bottom has some brownish places on it, probably from storage, I have not had the coat cleaned. T are no holes or tears in this coat. The coat has no armpit stains and shows very little signs of wear. A hard to find coat that would be a good addition to any collection. The coat has no smell, been stored in smoke free home. I'm down sizing thats why its up for bid. e-mail with any questions.
