Used copy of 'How to Make Up Garments. A Needlewok Manual for Students and Pupil-Teachers' by Agnes Walker. The book was published by Blackie and Son Ltd. of London in 1907. It is assumed to be a first edition. The book is a hardback, bound in dark blue cloth with a black and red stamped border, lettering and design and a gilt title on the spine. It contains a number of black and white illustrations, some with printed red and blue highlighting. There is no dustjacket. The cover of the book is rubbed, faded and marked. The head and tail of the spine and the corners are bumped and rubbed. It has grey endpapers which are browning, and there is also some foxing to the prelims and appendices. The page edges are also slightly grubby-looking, and there are a few fingerprints to the edges throughout. The page edges are yellowing slightly. A previous owner has cut a rectangle approx. 4 inches by 2 inches out of the top right hand edge of the front free endpaper and half-title page. This means that when you open the book, you can see the words 'How To Up Garments'. Those defects aside, the pages are clear and bright, and the binding firm, so I would describe this book as being in acceptable condition overall. The book measures approx. 5 inches by 7 1/4 inches and is approx. 1/4 of an inch deep. Please contact me via eBay if you have
