Rare limited edition cased knife in honor of the US Marine Corps Raiders that belonged to a World War II Marine Corps Raider. One side of the blade has a Raiders inscription with "Gung Ho", the other side reads: Bif Mann, 1st Marine Raiders, NCD UN 198, UDT 24" This knife is made by Collins & Co. in the USA - it's heavy, well made - not some toy. Also has inscribed the limited edition number 1243. Cased in walnut with red velvet lining, has the Marine Raider skull emblem on the lid. Also comes with several reproduction patches. You can easily have it re-inscribed with the name of your choice, or, own a piece of history from one of America's World War II Marine Corps Raiders. Additional information: I am selling the knives on behalf of a museum where I am the director - the Whidbey Island Naval History Center. The knives were donated under condition that they could be sold and proceeds go to our non-profit museum. These knives belonged to a Marine Corps fighter pilot, Kenneth Ford, who was an ace in WW2. HE got them from his friend, Bif Mann, whose name is insribed on the blades. Because the knives were not associated with Ken Ford, his widow said do with them what we wanted. Had Ford's name been inscribed, we would not have sold them.
