Mary Gregory 1893 Worlds Fair Clear Glass Pitcher-NICE!

Gorgeous Mary Gregory clear glass pitcher from 1893. This piece stands 9" tall and 18" around at its widest. Weight just over 2 pounds. It has a wonderful ruffled top that forms a spout and then soars upward over the handle. T is one tiny chip on one of the 'ruffles', seen in the photo with my finger pointing it out. When looking at the piece as a whole you really don't notice the chip until you feel every ruffle. This does not distract from the beauty of this piece. The paint is white, of course, done of a young boy running with a twig of a branch in his hands. T is a lot of movement in this piece- the birds flying in the background, the small trees on both sides of the boy and the uneven levels of the ground. T is also the name : Helen McKean and Worlds Fair 1893!!
The handle is ribbed and was put on the pitcher while the glass was hot. It is very pretty also. The glass has 'movement' in it also-waves from the production. The bottom of the base is smooth. T is a gold band along the base.
