MARY GREGORY Styled Cobalt Gibson Cruet

This time in COBALT BLUE! An original one of a kind highly detailed Mary Gregory styled scene of a beautiful horse splashing through a creek that runs all around the cruet. A tree graces the handle as well as flowers, trees, grass in the meadow scene. A beautifully done flower graces the stoppers crown. It doesn't get much better than this! Another of Charlie Gibson's artistic offerings! He was the "king of cruets!" Beautifully hand decorated in three-dimensional multi-layers of white frit fused into the glass by the final glory hole firing. Charlie used Fenton's culls rather than mixing his own glass batches to avoid EPA regulations on the raw chemicals. This is genuine Fenton Cobalt! Signed by the artist and sports the Gibson embossed into the glass ID stamp. |
