Nine Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Wedgewood Collector Plates for sale. Wedgewood first introduced its collector plates for MIT in 1930. Twelve views were made and nine (9) are being sold in this auction. The plates are mulberry colored and 10.25" diameter Queensware (earthenware). All plates are dated 1930. T were also blue/white plates made and they were more popular. The Mulberry-colored plates are fairly rare. Condition: overall the plates are in excellent condition. These minute glaze chips are not noticeable from the front or back and can only be found by running a finger along the edge (see picture). The largest of the glaze chips is on photograph 8. The plates included in this auction are listed below --(I have marked the plates with the underside chip with an " x"): Walker Memorial x Dome from Eastman Court x West Pylons in Dupont Court x Pylons of Building One x President's House x Pratt School of Naval Architecture Lowell Court Dormitories in Rear of President's House Runkle Hall x The package will be shipped double-box UPS.
