ABOVE ALL PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING Matchbox Yesteryear Y14-2 1911 Maxwell Roadster 1:49 1965 - 1984 I’ve had this model for quite a while, it’s not been fun either. When I bought it, the description was ‘nearly mint’, however it was far from that, the paint was dirty and faded, the petrol tank was missing and one wheel was badly damaged. I found the missing parts and re-sprayed it, however it didn’t go back together properly and I damaged the paint trying to fix it, so it was re-sprayed again. I re-assembled it but didn’t fit the windscreen properly so it was stripped again, it was only after I’d finally done all I needed to do that I noticed some small chips to the edges of the mudguards and running boards; as I’ve run out of the cream paint and they are small chips I’ve let it go. The body is done in vermillion; the chassis in cream, the paint has been baked. All the brassy bit’s, including the steering wheel have been polished, as has
