All 252 cards in the 1948 Topps Magic Photos card series can be found as one of two variations. Series A-J can be found with the card number to the left of trivia question the short side (common correct back), or with the card number below the trivia question the long side (very rare back). The 2nd series K-T can be found with 4 straight clean cut edges (from 1 cent single card packs) or with 2-3 perferated edges that were seperated from panel (very rare from 5 cent 6 card packs).

****************************************************************************** Matti Henrikki Järvinen (February 18, 1909, Tampere – July 22, 1985) was a Finnish javelin thrower. He won the Olympic gold medal at the 1932 Summer Olympics ahead of two other Finns, Matti Sippala and Eino Penttilä, with a throw of 72.71 metres. Four of his other five throws would also have been enough to take gold. The three Finns did not take off their tracksuit trousers during the event.

Besides his Olympic gold, Järvinen is remembered for his numerous world records. During the years from 1930 to 1936, he broke the javelin throw world record a record ten times in a row. He also became the European
