Mauchline Tartanware (Stuart) Cylindical Ribbon/Tape Dispenser Victorian Treen

A cylindical box in the Stuart tartan. Dimensions are 60mm diameter by 67mm high (to top of
domed lid). The box is to hold a reel of tape or ribbon which can be dispensed through a slot in
the side (see Photo 2). The lid-off lid is further decorated with the image of statue 'St John and
the Lamb'. Condition is generally good, though this has been a working item and carries a few
minor scuffs. There is also a patch towards the top of the slot where what appears to be gold ink
has smudged onto the paper. This appears to be below the finish, and hence a flaw in the paper
itself. Still an attractive piece.
