MELUN FRANCE Souvenir, LANCEL Semi-Automatic Lighter

Lancel Lighter

Here's a nice old cigarette lighter made in France by Lancel

This is known as a semi-automatic petrol lighter. On the top is a post, you pull it out and it releases the swing arm which goes up and turns the striking wheel as it goes.

Lancel has been around since the 1870s. This style was used between the late 1920s and the early 1950s.

This lighter has the coat of arms for the village of Melun France on the side.
