Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast,� winner of three� Olympic gold medals� at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal� and the first female gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10� in an Olympic gymnastic event. She also won two gold medals at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. She is one of the best-known gymnasts in the world.� In 2000 Comăneci was named as one of the athletes of the century by the Laureus World Sports Academy.� This magazine is a tribute to Comaneci, by the former Romanian Prime Minister, Adrian Nastase. Nadia Comaneci returned to� Romania for the first time since her defection (and the fall of Communism and the death of Ceausescu) in 1996. She returned with her fiance, Bart Conner� and the couple were married in Bucharest on April 27, 1996. The ceremony was broadcast live in Romania, and the reception was held in the former presidential palace. Photos taken during her return in Romania, including the wedding reception, were published by the Nastase family in 2001 to mark the Comaneci and Conner's 5th wedding anniversary. This copy was gifted and signed by Comaneci herself in 2001. It is inscribed "Pentru Diana � - cu simpatie " (For Diana - with regards). The copy is in good condition and comes together with a poster - see last photo. There are 48 pages of photos.�
