Metal Tea Coaster / Meiji Jingu / Set of 2 / Japanese

This pair of Japanese bronze-plated tea coasters is perhaps 20-30 years old, with possible differences in age between the two. Both are souvenirs from the famous Shinto shrine in Tokyo, Meiji Jingu, as indicated in raised lettering on the insides.

The two vary from one another only in the way time and atmosp have treated the bronze plating. One is significantly tarnished and has a few greenish spots of oxidation, while the other (possibly coated with something) retains a newer bronze color. T is no significant damage, but both show ample signs of wear-and-tear.

Each measures W4 3/8" (111mm) X D3 1/4" (82mm) X H9/16" (15mm).
