MIB Gene Marshall doll: Bird of Paradise

In excellent unused mint condition. Includes, box, wrist tag, stand, story card and certificate of authenticity (doll number M13781).
Designed by William Ivey Long and produced in 1997 by Mel Odom for Ashton Drake Galleries and retired in 1999. Gene is approximately 16 inches tall with short blonde hair styled in an up-do, blue eyes, ruby lips and ruby nails (fingers and toes). She wears the ultimate showgirl's ensemble featuring an elaborate crystal beaded body suit of flesh-toned net. Triple beaded swags from the hips are highlighted by accents of gathered pale pink tulle. The feathered turban of lavender iridescent fabric is festooned with crystal drops. Comes with matching spangled hose and shoes. Circa 1949.
