Modernist PARZINGER Stiffel Tension POLE LAMP Eames Era

Vintage 1950's Stiffel tension pole lamp.

Stiffel was one of the finest lamp makers of the era, employing the likes of Raymond Loewy, Tommi Parzinger and Ted Stiffel himself. This lamp is most often attributed to Tommi Parzinger because of it's elegant looks and common design elements.

This lamp fits any standard ceiling measuring approximately 8'. The pole is brass and teak wood. The candelabra style lights feature stylistic cones with ball finials. The shades are remarkably all original, in Tan organic linen.

Condition: The brass finish is slightly worn in keeping with the period (The greatest wear is shown in pic #10). The wood has only the most minor scratches. The shades are far above average, without and discoloration, holes or tears. The 12' cord has a amatuer repair at about 7'. You may want to move the plug to that location. Overall this lamp is far above average and in excellent vintage condition.

An authentic, wonderful Modernist classic, the perfect addition to your collection.
