Stunning monumental Gallé cameo vase w/ pinecone motif

This monumental Gallé vase from ca. 1905 has an opaque white-to-brown flattened round base with a long slender cylindrical neck. A delicate pinecone motif in reds and browns wraps lightly around the pale yellow stem. Has the Gallé cameo signature with star (Gallé's widow, Henriette, used the star signature after Emile's death in 1904 until 1906). Total height is 23 3/8 in. (59.4 cm), base diameter is 7 in. (17.8 cm). An extraordinary Gallé creation that will bring class and style to any room, this piece's eye-catching shape, size and design ensure it will define its space. The manufacturing process left several small surface air bubbles around the perimeter of the base. No chips, cracks or repairs, but the piece has two deep scratches (ca. 2 cm and 3 cm) and several tiny scratches on the neck which appear to have originated as manufacturing flaws (and did not adversely affect appraised value). Weighing approx. 7 lbs (3.18 kg), this delicate item requires special handling and packaging for shipping by UPS three-day select - estimated cost $120 with insurance.
