Stunning mourning enamel gold and diamond ring

We have on offer this beautiful Victorian memorial/mourning gold enamel and diamond ring.

The ring is hallmarked 15.625 for 15ct gold, Birmingham as well as faded makers mark. The face of the ring measures appr. 9.48mm (0.373’) in diameter. The diamond is appr. 2.87mm in diameter and appears to be later addition. The ring weighs 1.9 grams. It is UK size N, USA 6 3/4. It appears the diamond does not have any chips or scratches. There is a 0.5mm chip to the enamel on one of the shoulders otherwise the ring is in a very good vintage condition.

Inscribed inside: In remembrance of Eleanor Hedley died 14 th Nov 1877.
