VINTAGE MURANO ART GLASS DOUBLE PHEASANTS ON GOLD BASE by ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO 1950'S Just an incredible piece of art glass by Archimede Seguso. I've seen one other pair about a year ago on Ebay and they were asking $4000. I'm sure you remember! And I believe they were blue in color. These have a white opaque sommerso loaded with gold. The branch base is also supplied with a generous amount of gold as seen in the pictures. Stunning pair to look at. Found a rough spot on tip of tail left bird, appears that repair has been made to tip, see pic 12. But I'm telling you does not show, I've been looking at it for 5 years and never noticed. Dimentions: 10" tall 12.5"at widest point. Weight: 5 lbs. 3 ozs. Condition: Repair to tip of left tail. First being an accurate total so both you and I are getting the best deals. Traditionaly I notice Ebay shipping is higher because basically you are guessing at final packaged weight. Reason two is insurance, everything I send over $25 is to be insured. It protects both of us from those throw around boxes package handlers. PACKING FACTS I have received over 400 packages in the mail. As you probably know any time an item arrived broken it was because of what I consider poor packing. I received a couple dozen over the years that fell into this category. But I learned from this and now when I pack your item I will double box it, entomb it in bubblewrap so as it will arrive safe. Life is not perfect though and it could arrive broken not because of packing though. I purchase packing materials from a warehouse and they are not free, so I'll split the difference and most times I will pass a $2.00 charge to defray my total cost for domestic shipping and $3.00 for internatioal shipping. Hope that's not a deal breaker! Thanks SHIPPING FACTS Because I have no control over the vast number of package handlers along the mail route to your home,my choice for shipping your item for safe arrival is U.S.P.S. Some people for unknown reason request U.P.S., but the cost is significantly higher. I know from having received 400+ packages that the breakage is equal across the board. Of course any item over $25.00 will be insured for your protection and mine. You can recover the cost in your insurance claim with any carrier. I know how to pack and have had very few problems packing for a safe arrival. Also since I choose to ship internationaly your import fees or whatever costs your country adds will not be my responsibility to repay. Period! If that makes it a deal breaker, it is what it is. FEEDBACK FINALITY Feedback is your final step of the transaction. This is a very important step. It lets "ME" know I did good.
