Native American Beaded Bandolier Bag / Purse No Reserve! This is a beautifully beaded Native American Indian bag. We do not know how old it is, but it has been in our possession since the last owner passed away in 1976 as it was handed down in our family. We do not know how old the piece is or who the maker was. We believe this piece to be a newer piece because it was not made of leather. Some people we have spoken to stated that not all these bags were made of leather. We do know that it was received by the owner in Oklahoma. We have spoken to many people and were told it may be Seminole, Creek, or Cherokee, but noone seems to be certain. We are not knowledgable about these bags. We have seen many Ojibwe bandolier bags, but this one is a very different style and looks like it must have taken a very long time to make. It is absolutely beautiful! The bag seems to be made of some sort of cloth materials. It has minor bead loss as you can see in the photos and is a little dirty. It is a little stiff and worn down in some areas which seems to have been caused by use of the bag, perhaps from perspiration over years of use. It also has 12 red cotton or yarn tassles (2 of the tassles seem to be very fragile and may come off in time). The strap has different designs on each side. The bead loss seems to be around the neck area mainly.
