Offered is a 100% wool Navajo rug by weaver Deanna Todachini from Dennehotso on the Navajo reservation (NE corner of Arizona). The rug is circa mid-1990s and was purchased by us at the Crownpoint Rug Weavers Association auction in Crownpoint, NM in 1997. The very complex design, woven with commerically dyed wool, is a Four-In-One (sometimes called a Rug-In-A-Rug, and sometimes a Sampler). This means the weaver has made four different designs within the overall design. Very diffcult when you consider the design, always one-of-a-kind, is in the weavers head, no pattern being used. Colors are various shades of purple and gray, and white. The size is approximately 33" x 40". Condition is very good with no holes, tears, loss of wool or bleeding.
