3 HANDLE LOVING CUP

This is a 3 handle cut glass loving cup with an ornate sterling rim. The sterling is marked by J.F Fradley . This piece measures approx. 3 ¾" tall and 4" in diameter at the handles. It weighs just under 1 lb. This pattern can be seen on page FRA-2 of the "American Brilliant Cut Glass Advertisements" Book II by Robert and Valerie Smith.

The loving cup has three handles. The silver rim is decorated with a detailed floral design. The handles are cut with two columns of punties down the backside. The body has a repeating panel that is around the body. The pattern consists of a 16 pt. that has two reverse fans below it. At the bottom of the panel, t is a diamond filled with sharp cut diamonds. The base is cut with a 16 pt rayed star.

This piece is in great condition. It does not have any chips or flakes. The blank is clear with a water white color. The glass is free of residue. T is a heat check in one of the handles.

The detailed sterling rim by Fradley & Co. makes this piece an outstanding collector's choice. The sterling on glass is a beautiful contrast that gives this piece a timeless elegance. This loving cup is a real treasure that would be a gorgeous piece to display on your table top or in your cabinet.
