Nikon Super Zoom-8 Movie Camera with Case and Unexposed Super-8 film

Nikon Super Zoom-8 Movie Camera with Case and Unexposed Super-8 film

The Nikon Super Zoom-8 Movie camera had many advance features for its time. It is a reflex viewfinder camera with light meter and comes with power zoom. It also features split-image focusing and auto-exposure. Frame rates adjustable for 12, 18 or 24 fps. The lens is a 8.8mm-45mm Nikkor Cine-Zoom f1.8 lens.

This set comes in a very nice faux smooth leather carry/storage case. Included are also the original user manual, a lens hood and lens cap. The camera operates on 4 AA-size battery. It also requires two 1.35volt mercury cell (or Wein cell equivalent) for the light meter to work. The cells in the camera right now are the original mercury cells and still seem to work. The battery compartment for the 4 AA-size batteries located inside the main handle shows some corrosion in the battery contacts. We have cleaned it as much as possible. We have tested all the functions of the camera and they all seem to work but we have NOT tested it with film.

Included with sale is a brand new unexposed Kodak Ektachrome 160 Super-8 cartridge with expiration date of 11/1995. We have no idea if can still be used but we included it just for the fun of having a complete set for the collector.
