BLUE IS BEAUTIFULL".....well prehaps not on our teeth but with these amazing pre-historic Mammoth Tooth scales that Mr. Niro has mounted on his latest work of art the result is spectacular! Buried in the permafrost of the far North for thousand of years the minerals that seep into the ground produce the wonderfull rich blue coloring that permeates these scales. The 3-1/4" boot-fighter profile blade is ground from a very unique bar of mosaic nickel damascus from the master-of-mosaic Robert Eggerling. It is first etched then deeply blued to compliment the colors in the handle scales. Adding to the mystique of this linerlock is the custom turned and fileworked thumbstud mounted with a sparkling black diamond gem stone.. The bolsters of polished 416 stainless are carved with sunburst fluting and provide a perfect touch of drama between the blue of the blade and handle. Liners of .050 thickness Titanium are anodized in a mellow bronze, jewelled on their inner flats and very nicely fileworked.They are set off from the handle scales by burgandy-red fibre liners. Aristic innovation can further be found in the full backspacer of chiselled 416 stainless that is inset with three champagne diamond gem stones.
