NORTHERN PLAINS BEADED GARTER WITH ERMINE TAIL & SKILLED LAZY STITCH BEADWORK

Here is a fine piece of Northern Plains beadwork. It has very tight lazy stitch beading forming the patterned band. I am pretty sure this is a leg garter due to the nice ermine tail drop being in the middle. the tail ( which has a structural break bending it) looks amazing as it is connected to a peyote stitch beadwork rope and a sleeve of red wool with sewn up sides If people were interested in wearing this finery, I think it would be an excellent piece to re-purpose to your liking, perhaps as a breast plate panel for a tunic or dress, a fine hatband ( the tail could be easily moved to the back of the hat ) pouch flap etc. It also looks pretty awesome as a beadwork display. A fine example of Native craftsmanship that is sure to please. ☼ THANKS > + < ☼ > -: ¦:- + < -:¦:- > + -:¦ :- < ☼ > + < ☼ ✧ ☽ ✵⋆ Please see my other Native offerings . .... = >> === == ==== x > > + < ☼ > -: ¦:- + < -:¦:- > + -:¦ :- < ☼ > + < ☼ ✧ ☽ ✵⋆
