Odd 2 Listracanthus from Carboniferous Hushpuckney, MO

Species : Listracanthus hystrix
Age : Upper Carboniferous (Pennsylvanian)
Formation : Hushpuckney Fm. (Black Shales)
Location : Kansas City, Missouri
Here is an excellent example of a Listracanthus spine association plate with 2 spines probably from the same shark! The spines are believed to have covered this bizarre shark completely, but an articulated Listracanthus has never been found up to date. This piece has an excellent specimen on one side and one that has not been uncovered on the other side.
