old Antique German DOOR Latch Elbow Lock 1900's This latch is a complete set with no key. This lock is marked GERMANY on the lock bar. These were hand made and assembled with rivets. This latch is in great condition with very little wear from its years of use. I left some of the historical paint on the front giving a great textured surface. I made sure every thing works on the moving parts. This style latch does have the privacy lock that can be used with out a key. This latch can only be used on a door requiring a latch on the RIGHT and the hinges on the LEFT when the door swing towards you. The latch is 5 1/2" long and 4" wide. These German locks work best on doors 1 5/8" thick or less. The last picture shows the door thickness T are no BROKEN parts. All the parts for the back side of the door, the handle plate, the handle part and the hard to find jamb part are included.Many people don't sell their latch with the jamb keeper. I cleaned off all the loose rust and lead paint. I put flat black paint on the parts. You can paint them whatever color you want or leave it as it is. This latch is ready to go and will give many more years of faithful service. New screws are available in my store listings . Vintage used screws are available at $5.00 per set.
