OLD Sheffield Straight Razor Blade Lot - mostly 1800s

This is a parts lot of vintage English Sheffield-made straight razor blades (no handles). Most of these blades are pre-1900.

1.) Manufactured by WADE & BUTCHER, SHEFFIELD (pre-1896 stamping). Hollow ground blade. 5-7/8 inches long. Blade is a hair under 1 inch wide. Blade is over 1/4 inch thick.

2.) GREAVES & SONS / BARBERS USE. Hollow ground. 5-3/4 inches long. Blade is a hair over 7/8 inches wide.

3.) G (crown) R / PATENT. The Marking indicate a razor made by a provider to King George. The hand-cut stamp suggests an earlier King George (Not the later George V), which would date the razor to pre-1830. Slightly hollow ground. Blade measures just over 5-1/4 inches long and just under 7/8 inches wide.

4.) BROOKES & CROOKES / SHEFFIELD ENGLAND. Dates to after 1896. Hollow ground. Blade is just under 5-3/4 inches long and 11/16 inches wide.

5.) MANUFACTURED BY / M. J. HIGGENS / SHEFFIELD. (pre-1896 stamping). Hollow ground. Blade is just under 5-3/8 inches long and 11/16 inches wide.

6.) F. R. MANUFACTURED BY / FREDERICK REYNOLDS / SHEFFIELD. (pre-1896 stamping). Wedge ground with protruding shoulder. Blade is just under 5-3/4 inches long and 5/8 inches
