From Estwing Mfr. Co. of Rockford, Ill., this early "Utilax" model combines the hatchet, pick, and nail puller into one combination tool. It is in great condition with most of its original finish intact. The shaft is painted green, the wooden handle grips are vartnished and the head is painted silver. While this particular hatchet may not have been in the initial production(3 handle rivets), I will tell you that another Utilax example, with 2 rivets and with only traces of green & silver finish, brought $225 in a M.J. Donnelly tool auction and is listed in their tool catalog. That one didn't include the original leather sheath with belt loop, but this one does! See photo. We never charge handling fees. All items sold in as found condition . Don't get blocked out at auction's end. Preempt the competition by bidding early.
Do not let the low opening bids scare you. I "buy them right" and pass along the savings to my clientele.Successful bidder pays USPS shipping, Save on shipping with multiple purchases .
