1960 Morris Mini Minor

When BMC launched the Mini in 1959, they couldn't have predicted that they had created one of the most iconic and recognisable motorcars of the 20th Century. The original design was revolutionary, with its space-saving front wheel drive layout allowing 80 % of the car s floor pan to be used for passengers and luggage, and this influenced a generation of car manufacturers. This distinctive two-door car was designed for BMC by Sir Alec Issigonis, and was manufactured at the Longbridge and Cowley plants in England.
Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names as the Austin Seven and Morris Mini Minor, until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969.
For sale is my 1960 morris mini deluxe which was first registered in November 1960, has only had four owners since new, two of which were brothers. It was bought new by a Kent BMC dealer, whose sticker still survives on the dash of the vehicle, and then at some stage was taken off the road and dry stored for about twenty years. The result is a highly original example of what is now, an extremely sought-after, motorcar.
