Original 28" Simon & Halbig 1009 Early DEP St Mark

This appears to be an early version and would date the doll from about 1890. Her body is also marked 6 6 on her shoulders and 6 on each leg.

Her head has no chips or hairlines. She does have one tiny nick at one ear lobe. Her eyebrows are flat and heavily painted with individual strokes. She has molded upper eyelids with lots of painted lashes. Her blue eyes are in the original set and she has all eyelid wax. I see one slight fire line above one ear. Her lips are painted with shading strokes on the upper and bottom. She has four square teeth. And the admired chin dimple.

This is her original mohair wig which I was the first to remove. You can see she still has the early original rope stringing inside her head.

She is on her original wood and composition jointed body. The finish is original with no repaints. There is some normal finish chipping you can check out in the photos. The back of her thighs are flat as is the bottom of her rear end. It looks like a French body. It is marked as I stated earlier.

She came with her old cotton under garments. The dress and hat are lovely. I purchased them from Dollmasters clothes catalog for her
