Original JosefHoffmann WIENER WERKSTAETTE Vienna Secession Pair of liqueur glasses manufactured by VLG circa 1938 An original Josef Hoffmann design! Here, a pair (2) of liqueur (liquor) glasses designed by Josef Hoffmann — a founder of the Vienna Secession and Wiener Werkstaette — and manufactured by Vereinigte Lausitzer Glaswerke AG (VLG Weißwasser) circa 1938. The design is called “Rapunzel,” and was published (page 66) in the catalogue LAUSITZER GLAS - geschichte und gegenwart . Hoffmann was commissioned to produce this design by Wilhelm Wagenfeld, who was VLG’s artistic director from 1935 to 1942. You can see the subtle blue tint in some of the photos, whereas in other photos they looks just a smokey grey.Excellent condition, with no chips, no cracks, no damages and no repairs. A few bubbles in the glass from original manufacture. Each is approx. 2 inches (5 cm) high x 1.75 inches (4.5 cm) in diameter. They are the perfect size
