NICE Original Painting Confederate Rebel Flags VINTAGE

UP for bid is an original framed art work painting. In the frame it is 17 x 21". I believe it to be the original frame. It has a paper backing and the old eye hooks and wires for hanging. It is 1870s possibly earlier. Beautiful rendering of the confederate or Rebel flags. All hand painted with the script "Furl the banner softly slowly Treat it gently it is holy it is holy for it droops above the dead touch it not unfold it never let it droop t furled forever, for its peoples hopes are dead!" This is a line from Abram J Ryan 's famous The Conquered Banner that appeared in the pages of the Freeman's Journal which was published thirteen months after General Robert E. Lee Surrendered. Very nice original work of art. Guarenteed to be authentic and if not happy 100% refund. Don't miss out on this piece of southern history. No artist name that I can find. Appear to be done on cardboard. This item came from an estate on the eastern shore of virginia. NO RESERVE
