This is the classic all-original 67 Ford Thunderbird hardtop radio made by AMT. This rare vintage annual issued promotional car was given away at Ford dealerships only from the fall of 1966 through the summer of 1967. They were also mailed from Ford to owners of 66 T-Birds to show what the new models looked like. Still others were sold at toy and hobby shops during this period. This one has a factory installed Philco AM radio instead of a promo interior. The radio is complete and it works. Stations come in, but the sound quality is poor. This original 43 year old car has never been reissued. This car is factory molded in off-white styrene cycolac plastic which has not and will never warp. The resulting color called "Wimbledon White" matches a color available on the real cars. The shiny white plastic body is virtually blemish free, except for one spot on the roof. It is nearly perfect. The color is consistent throughout the entire car. It has not faded like so many others do. The roof and vent posts remain, complete, intact, and straight. The clear glass is scratch and crack-free everyw All chrome is still good everyw with no bleed-through on the high areas. One of the chrome gunsight fender ornaments is missing.
