Original WW2 US M1 Army Helmet, Liner, Netting, Helmet Chinstrap and Liner Chinstrap. All parts of the helmet and lining are guaranteed original. The helmet was bought directly from the family of WW2 serviceman. Only information I could get was that towards the end of the war he served as a guard in a German POW camp. The helmet has been in storage ever since, and is therefore in near perfect condition, with no dents, dings or scratches to the metal helmet. The straps are all old, but completely intact and strong. The Liner is also in near mint condition, with the leather showing its age, but also still all intact and very strong. The actual helmet is a front seam & fixed bale, which puts it at Pre- November 1944 manufacture. The helmet also has the original cork "rough" finish. The netting is the fine type and is also completely original to the helmet. It has a musty smell, but is intact. The Liner has the markings "6" and "S" in a circle, signifying Seaman Company Manufacture. This is a very rare opportunity to get a completely original and near perfect condition WW2 US M1 Helmet. There really are no negatives to it. Only reason for very reluctant sell is for the money. Please just email if you would like any more info on it, or more photos, I will be happy to help. Also happy to ship anywhere in the world or arrange personal
