ORIGINAL WWI WWII US ARMY HAVERSACK PACK, MESS KIT, BELT, SHOVEL, BAYONET, EQUIPMENT SET Not a junker set to get rid of some trashy web gear, this is an original WWI dated US Army infantry pack set with a haversack pack, nine pocket cavalry rifle belt, canteen, cup, canteen carrier, T-handle entrenching tool, Carlisle bandage pouch with red bandage, three pocket ammunition pouch for half moon clips, mess kit with utensils and an M1910 canvas covered scabbard with a Springfield bayonet. The one thing missing here is a shovel cover for the shovel. BUT EVERYTHING IN THIS LOT IS ORIGINAL, NOT REPRODUCTIONS. The M1910 haversack with the meat can/mess kit pouch is in really nice condition, dated 1918 manufactured by L-D, Inc. Some soiling but overall pretty clean an good color. The haversack tail dated 1918 made by WARNER has the original leather strap and in really nice condition as well. 1918 dated mess kit in good, used condition and a full set of WWI utensils, the knife is dated 1917, the fork is dated 1918. I forgot to include this in the first photo, but it is the last photo in this group. The handle of the mess kit has some oxidation and minor rust, but is in solid condition. The 9 pocket rifle belt is one of the cavalry belts that was made to slip a pistol ammunition pouch over the spot where the 10th pocket would normally be.
