Original WWII German Army overcoat greatcoat WW2

Original WWII German Army overcoat. Standard M40 model, period modified for the harsh Russian winters on the Eastern Front before the M42 and M43 parkas became prevalent. Exactly the same overcoat as that shown on page 144 of Brian L. Davis' book, "German Army Uniforms & Insignia 1933-1945", 1972 Edition, plate 269, description 3.27(9). This field gray wool overcoat is in excellent condition with very little mothing present. Field gray wool color is great and t are no wear spots. All original buttons, hooks, etc. are present. Original loops & buttons are also present for shoulder boards. No shoulder boards included, however. The lining is a very dark gray wool blanket material. French turn-back cuffs have been removed and the extra material used to make two side slash "hand-warmer" pockets in addition to the standard lower pockets. Tailoring is expertly done, most likely by a company tailor. Size is approximately a 42R. No markings that I can see. This coat was purchased from OstFront many years ago. I offer a lifetime guarantee for this item that it is pre-1945, WWII German Army issue, less postage and if returned in the same condition as sent.
