2004 "Snowshoe Hare" patch.

This patch is part of the highly collectible "Signature Series" of patches issued by the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art.

The Center for Nature and Art was founded in 1993 to celebrate the life and artwork of famous wildlife artist and Pennsylvania native, Ned Smith.

Although most known as being a nationally recognized wildlife artist, Ned Smith was also a great naturalist and outdoor writer.

Mr. Smith is also well-known for his artwork for the Pennsylvania Game Commission as well,

which includes fine artwork for the "Working Together for Wildlife" program and his many Game News covers, illustrations and more.

The Center, which bears his name, is located in his home town of Millersburg, Pennsylvania.

Each year a fine art print is chosen to be highlighted and then a matching embroidered patch is created,

produced in limited quantities, and offered to the public for purchase.

This patch was issued in 2004, corresponding to the artwork which was chosen for that year.
