Up for bid is this beautiful Old Paris heavy porcelain perfume bottle without stopper. The bottle measures 5" tall, 2 1/2 " square and 1 5/8" at the mouth. The hand painted flowers on two sides of the perfume bottle are absolutely exquisite and the remaining panels are decorated in a jewel design in colors of gold and rust. T is some flow blue glaze in the panels. The shoulders of the pefume bottle are decorated with gold leaves over the cobalt blue body and the edges of the bottle between the decorated panels have gold bubble decorations over cobalt blue. Some of the gold around the top of the bottle and around the bottom of the bottle have rubbed off or faded, which is to be expected of a piece this old. The perfume bottle has no cracks, chips or crazing. On the bottom of the bottle it has a number in green which reads "2302" and then another number in brown paint which reads "71." These are probably the numbers of the painters that decorated the bottle. The perfume bottle is a beautiful piece even without the stopper and can be easly used as a flower vase or a candleholder. Your spare white flat porcelain stopper would do the trick nicely. !
