Parker 51 pen, gold filled cap in converging-lines pattern, circa 1949. The barrel is teal blue. The pen is near mint with no dents or dings, and no visible wear. The barrel has some very minor surface scratching and t is a very weak imprint that appears to say 'Made in England', with a date code '9' with two dots. This would indicate production in the second quarter of 1949. It's very weak, so I may be wrong, but this would fit in with the model. The nib is a rare broad point. See photos for its actual width. This is the full size model, about 5 3/8 inches long. The aerometric filling system is working. A beautiful 51!
