PARKER VACUMATIC MAJOR FOUNTAIN PEN

The colour is known as Golden Pearl and is circa 1945 and manufactured by PARKER in CANADA.

It has the "speedline filling system " instead of the "locking down " system as in the earlier models.

The barrel is used as the ink reservoir rather than from an ink sac, which increases the ink capacity.

Filled by a then new style vacuum pump mechanism on the barrel end, and was advertised as " revolutionary in principle and perfectly marvelous in performance."

The cap has one broad gold band.

The gold clip has the engraving PARKER with a black diamond.

The barrel imprint reads :- MADE IN CANADA - PARKER VACUMATIC - PAT No 318982 - REG TM 6

The nib is engraved PARKER 14K - ENGLAND - 25 with a normal round breather.

Filling is by the plunger beneath the blind cap on the barrel end.

The condition is very good , with a mild blemish to the cap clip top , needs a magnifying glass to see.

The pen has been fully checked and fully serviced by a professional restorer and is in first class working condition through out.

Its length capped is 5 1/4" , uncapped is 6 "

As part of the service the filling system and ink flow are fully tested.
