This is a beautifully hand painted child's tea set made by Davenport and bearing their imprinted marks dating from around 1850 It is the same as the set illustrated on page 56 of Milbourn's book 'Understanding Miniature British Pottery and Porcelain', published by the Antique Collector's Club and bears the same pattern number. T are 4 cups and 5 saucers, 2 plates, a creamer and a sugar bowl with lid! Everything is in very good condition, with no damage at all, though one cup is a bit discoloured. Very similar to Sunderland lustre wear. The creamer measures 2.8 inches tall, the sugar bowl is 3.4 inches tall and a saucer is 4.6 inches across.
