A pair of 19th century wood candle sticks from Persia or India - my guess 19th century. Primary colours brown, cream and green and a sort of blue for the clothing. Delicately hand-painted with a person on each, a goat on each and some intricate patterns and some foliage and trees. Condition is generally good - but there is a human kneeling character on the base of each that has worn away and on one - see the back right of photo three - there is a fairly considerable dry-wood split to the base. When I have them on the mantle piece I just have it at the back Height: 8
