PHILIPS - NORELCO BADGE Hello-Up for bid is this very nice B5X43A tube radio from 1964. Made in Holland by Philips. Radio was acquired from the orig. owner. It's powered at 75 watts. Honestly it's in unbelievable cond. for it's age, almost as if it were enclosed. What's unique about it is while there are units out there with a Philips badge, There are very few if any with a Norelco Badge Plate. This radio works beautifully-tunes effortlessly and sounds awesome. Aside from a few very (very) small nicks on the base facade and on the right edge of the outer trim. This is very close to perfect. The power cord has a little paint on it. I would rate this a 9 out of 10. It also has it's original natural antenna. I picked up shortwave stations without trouble on a clear night from all over. My only annoyance was that the indicator light for stereo would not come on. The tone buttons work fine low to high & left to right. The lower buttons L to R are 'OFF'-LW-SW-BC(AM) and FM on a US dial to 108 MHz.- And this unit also has a green tuning scope on the left side of face plate and the tuning scope works perfect . The tubes:ECC85,EZ81,ECC83,EAA91,EF91,EF89,EL84 (2),EBF89,ECH81 are orig. Philips. The face and controls are scratch free and there are no 'pops' in operation. I will box this unit in a new double walled box. Buyer pays actual
