Photon #15 1967 huge monster magazine & fanzine sale!

Photon #15 1967 VFN

I’m listing a large number of vintage monster and horror film magazines, fanzines and prozines, all very strictly and conservatively graded, so be sure to see my other auctions! These are all true auctions with reasonable starting bids--not high-priced Buy-It-Nows. These magazines are part of a large collection that has been well cared for, and have been kept for years in archival quality storage.

Here's a beautiful copy of the rare 15th issue of Mark Frank's excellent horror and science fiction fanzine. At this time in its history the magazine was hand stapled. This copy has a second set of staple holes--I assume this is because it was unsuccessfully stapled the first time then redone. There's a little bit of paper damage to the cover around these holes. Other than this it is like new.

All magazines are complete with no cut coupons, major defects, tape, or writing unless noted. Photos are of the actual issue you are bidding on. General condition guide: I am a collector and a strict grader. Many buyers have felt the magazines they received from me were better than the grade I assigned them. A “-” sign after the grade indicates a bit lower, as in “very good, minus,”

Good: A well-worn copy. Could include a combination of creases, tears, looseness at the staples, edge and corner wear.

Very Good (VG): general moderate wear, could include light creases, some spine separation at top and or bottom, looseness and wear around the staples, edge and spine wear, but no missing pages, cut coupons, or major defects. Some small tears on the edges of 1/2 inch or less are possible. An otherwise FN condition copy with one or two defects not allowed in that grade might be graded VG.

Fine (FN) Solid condition with very light minor wear to cover and spine, good cover gloss, maybe some light shelf wear, is tight at the staples with possibly some light wear there. A tear of less than 1/2 inch on the front cover, or a 1/2 inch tear on the back cover is acceptable. I try to always note any tears specifically in the description. Maybe a tiny corner crease or two, possibly some minor wear at the corners. Possibly some very minor spine separation at top or bottom, less than one inch. An otherwise VF copy with a small tear on the front cover or one other minor defect could be graded FN, though would be noted in the description.

Very Fine (VF) A sharp copy with great gloss, tight at the staples, no creases, just the lightest touches of wear at the corners. Possibly just a light touch of spine wear. An investment-grade copy.

VF/NM: A very high-grade copy, with possibly just a couple of very minor flaws like a touch of wear at one or two corners, very very light spine wear in a spot or two. Just a tad shy of Near Mint.

I am a conservative and strict grader, so .

Packing, handling, and secure US shipping is $5.00 for this magazine, and I do combine shipping at a discount for multiple wins. For larger packages Media Mail or Priority will be available. I pack securely and make sure your magazines are well protected at the edges and corners. I know what it's like to receive magazines that suffered unnecessary damage in the mail, and will do everything I can to make sure that doesn't happen. Shipping for 2 or more magazines will be determined by weight and destination. Checks or Paypal accepted. Ask me about other payment methods. Insurance is at your option, and will be extra.

I am happy to ship internationally, though rates have skyrocketed. When possible I use First Class International, which is less expensive than priority but has also gone way up in price recently. Packages over 4 pounds or requiring insurance or other tracking must go Priority Mail and will cost usually $25-$40 or more. Canada: Shipping for this magazine is $11.50. Larger shipments determined by weight. Worldwide: $18 for this magazine, larger shipments priced according to weight and cost, and could be $20-$40 or more depending on ho...
