PINK FLOYD Animals RARE Special DJ promo LP banded for airplay Roger Waters LOOK

VERY RARE Special DJ promo LP - PINK FLOYD - ANIMALS - 1977 Columbia Records USA - AP-1 / XSM160892 (the standard commercial release catalog numbers -- JC 34474 -- are also listed on the label -- please see photo). I am not positive, but reports have this Special DJ Copy, which is banded for airplay (because of the length of most of the songs), being pressed and issued in very low numbers. I have heard had this number was as low as 200 (and issued to radio stations throughout the USA in early 1977). Regardless, this is a very unique and RARE edition of Animals -- you will not see many of these, especially in this condition! The stamper numbers after the XSM number designation in the matrix of the trail-off vinyl / "dead wax" are -1A (side one) and - 1B (side two), making them first pressings. Vinyl is VG++ ...very close to Near Mint ...just a couple of light sleeve scuffs that do not affect play (this LP was not likely played much at all). LP has been stored in a high quality rice paper-style inner sleeve (the Discwasher V.R.P. Valuable Record Protector version that is similar to those used by Mobile Fidelity).
