I have recently purchased a large group of vintage baseball caps which were game-worn at some point in Johnny Pesky's career. I will do my best to correctly identify each one; please ask any questions. I am not a specialist in this subject. I will guarantee that they all belonged to Johnny Pesky, and were purchased from his estate. I believe this cap is from the Pittsburgh Pirates. Johnny coached first base for them 1965-1967. It is in excellent estate condition. The cap is made of wool, and interior is lined with heavy canvas. It has no size designation, and was made by New Era; please see the photo of the label. In addition. there is a hand-drawn "5" inside; I do not know what this means. If I have accidently misidentified the team, please let me know. It is a great piece! Please see my other auctions and store for more items from Johnny Pesky's family home in Portland.
