About the Artist: Written at time of print release.....

After 3 years in the Air Corps in WW II Bill Granstaff attended the Kansas City Art Institute, majoring in painting. Upon graduation he did post-graduate work at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. Listed in "Who's Who in American Art", "Something About the illustrator", and "The Internatilonal Biography", Cambridge, England, a member of the Graphic and Audubon Societies , he worked in art studios, advertising agencies, publishing houses, was an instructor at the famous Artist School, and spent many years as a free-lance illustrator. A commercial pilot and amateur ham radio operator, Bill now maintains his own studio in Princeton, Ky and devotes his time to prints and paintings.

About the Painting in 1976: I have wanted to paint this little toy stove for years. The Cresent model is my favorite. Notice the little man in the moon on the oven door.

This doll house is an R. Bliss which is one of the all-time classics, and the doll is all bisque from Germany.

Every little girl plays jacks, and they learn at an early age to call out, one-sies, two-sies!
