Plains Indian War Club Alchester, South Dakota

is a Historic War Club / Skullcrusher found in Alchester, South Dakota. This is an artifact that is unforunately not within my knowledge base. I was told it is probably Cheyenne Indian made in the late 1700's to the early 1800's, possibly mid 1800's. The club fits in your hand like those old miniature rubber footballs i used to play with, thats what it reminded me of when I first handled it. The stone is very dense and heavy and is made from a beautiful stone that shows excellent polish all over it. The groove is slight, just enough to create a nice grip so the sinew would not slip. T is one hole drilled w the handle was placed. The hole is about 2 1/2" deep in the stone. I guarantee this relic to be authentic, made 200 -250 years ago by Plains Indian craftsmen. You may have 30 days to inspect or authenticate. If not satisfied in any way I will return money in full.
