Post WWII or Korea 1948 Rawlings HC5 Tanker's Helmet with Throat Mic & Goggles,

Rare, Rawlings HC5 Tanker Helmet.

I just cannot find much information on tank helmets beyond the M38. Here is a Rawlings helmet, Model HC5. It is different than the 1950's and 1960's HC5 in that it has a pointed crown and ventilation holes on top.

It has a heat stamp on the back that makes me believe it is from August, 1948.

The paint is old and oxidized, chipped. It has lots of stamps from the manufacturer, and the radio gear looks original to the helmet. The leather shows honest age. It is sized 7 1/8 to 7 ¼. The throat mike, a Western Electric T-30-A and goggles were with it when I got it. It is nicely marked and displays really nicely.
