Here is a veryinteresting and hard to find set of “The First Lines of the Practice of Surgery: Designed As An Introduction For Students, and A Concise Book of Reference For Practitioners.” by Samuel Cooper, with notes by Alexander H. Stevens, and additional notes and an appendix by a physician of Philadelphia, Second American Edition, with several plates and wood cuts, in two volumes, published in 1828. These books are in good condition with new bindings. The covers and spines are clean with minor wear. Both bindings are tight with all pages firmly intact. Inside pages show some foxing and fading. There is one page with paper loss about the size of a quarter, but not affecting the text. Volume I contain 7 plates, Volume II contains 5 plates, and both volumes have a few other illustrations. *Volume II is missing two of the seven plates. Check out some of the interesting contents and illustrations in these books! They measure approximately 5 ½” x 8 ½” and contain 496 and 526 pages. A great set for any collection! Please feel free to email me with any questions and for more information and pictures. Media mail shipping will be $4. International bidders please email me for a shipping quote before bidding.
