Christopher Radko Celebrate Adoption 2001 Ornament~for the Dave Thomas Adoption Foundation This retired ornament was designed by Christopher Radko for the annual Dave Thomas Adoption Foundation Christmas ornament series. This unique piece was second in a series produced to benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. It was individually mouth blown, silvered and then hand painted. Measuring 4.5" W by 4" H, this heart shaped ornament features three children holding hands on each side and the words "Celebrate Adoption 2001". One side is spring the other side is a winter scene. At the top of the ornament is a Christopher Radko charm and a Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption charm. This ornament comes to you Brand New with tag in the original box. This is ornament is particularly special because Mr. Thomas, the founder of Wendy's Hamburger, and an adoptee, died in 2001. Also included is the RARE, original 4 inch X 4 inch insert card, which many ornaments don't contain. The card is a note from Mr. Thomas which states, in part: Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Every holiday season is special to my wife and me. For us, it's about our five children and 10 grandkids.
